SEA LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE
DignityLegacyCommunityOpportunityPractical support

Excellence is not only inherited. It is built, protected, and shared.

La Sociedad Ebona exists to strengthen community life through culturally grounded programs, education, practical resources, thoughtful philanthropy, and partnerships that honor people’s dignity. Our vision is established even as our formal nonprofit and fiscal-sponsorship documentation continues to develop.

01

Dignity first

Support should meet people with choice, respect, and room to remain the authors of their own lives.

02

Legacy in practice

We invest in ideas and resources that build knowledge, belonging, stability, and opportunity across generations.

03

Community by design

We connect neighbors, sponsors, businesses, and institutions around practical public benefit—not empty ceremony.

300 Gifts of Holiday Joy

Every child deserves to feel remembered, celebrated, and included in the warmth of the season. Help us begin with 300 gift cards—and surround them with even more care.

= the beginning, not the whole gift

One thoughtfully prepared gift can tell a child: “You were remembered.”

The need first identified included approximately 70 children. We are building with room to reach even more children across the Indianapolis community—with a goal of up to 300 gift cards if support allows.

The cards are only the foundation. With community support, children may also receive stockings, small gifts, cozy winter items, treats, and other thoughtful additions. However a family marks the season—Christmas, Hanukkah, Noël, Yuletide traditions, another celebration, or simply time together—every child should be welcomed with dignity and joy.

Begin with a card. Build a beautiful holiday gift.

The $3,000 starting goal covers approximately 300 gift cards at $10 each. Stockings, cozy winter items, treats, children’s gifts, and other additions are supported separately through further contributions and donated goods.

La Receta

A community food-access concept centered on choice—not a fixed box.

Food access · Practical support · Dignity

“What is donated is given. What we purchase is offered at low cost.”

La Receta is being designed with two clearly separate inventory lanes. The free pantry comes first in the shopping experience, allowing families to take what they can use at no cost before spending money in the low-cost market.

Free first

Donated groceries, surplus food, rescued produce, household necessities, and similar donated items remain free to community members.

Low-cost market

Food purchased through wholesale, cooperative buying, farmers, distributors, or similar sources may be offered at a low sustainable price.

  • Community garden
  • Composting usable food scraps
  • Surplus-food redistribution
  • Reusable bag sharing / BYOB
  • Culturally relevant groceries
  • Diapers and children’s clothing
  • Household necessities
  • Community referrals
  • Support across assistance gaps, including single fathers
